New Leaders Blog
Hello! I hope everyone who attended the Annual Conference had a great time. I feel exhausted and excited at the same time--sounds normal for a teacher!
I wanted to get you up-to-speed on updates to the blog and the future of the New Leaders.
I want to take a moment to remind you of the purpose of the New Leaders.
The New Leaders acknowledges that you, teachers at the beginnings of your careers, are ready to make a difference in the classroom to advance student outcomes. We want to provide a forum for you to share your excitement and innovation with other teachers across the state. We are each in unique situations at our respective schools, but what we have in common is a desire to make our schools the best they can be, and not just at our individual schools, but at every school. One of the most inspiring parts of conferences, for me, is to meet other teachers as passionate as I am about making my instruction as meaningful as possible. This week has been no exception, and I can't wait to hear from those of you who are willing to reach out to other new teachers for not only classroom resources, but also support and encouragement.
We thank those of you who filled out green cards at the Annual Conference. Look for an email soon that will help us get to know you. Dustin and I have several projects in the works, and we may be calling upon you for feedback. We strongly believe that the New Leaders will grow stronger when we hear and respond to you. Just like building a spaghetti tower (see post below!), we need the perspectives of many to make the end product most meaningful.
We can't wait to work with you!
