AASCD Book Study

Dustin and I are meeting with the AASCD Board today to plan this year's book study of Five Levers to Improve Learning (Tony Frontier & James Rickabaugh). We'll be sending out more information about how to participate, but be talking to your colleagues about incorporating this book into your PLC for the chance to receive a free Annual Conference registration!

Advocacy 2014

In January, Dustin Parsons and Caitlin Harris had the opportunity to attend the Leadership Institute for Legislative Advocacy (LILA) in Washington, DC, as New Leaders representatives on a team from Arkansas ASCD. This team will share their learnings during one of the break-out sessions. Below is ASCD's 2014 Legislative Agenda.

Visit ASCD's Legislative Agenda page for more information. ASCD also offers Capitol Connections, a weekly newsletter to keep you updated on educational policy.
