It is both an honor and privilege to serve as the Executive Director for Arkansas ASCD. This role allows me an opportunity to work with dynamic educational leaders across the state of Arkansas. Arkansas ASCD is an organization that has a diverse membership of educators representing, various school leaders, teachers, counselors, state agency leaders, higher education leaders and leaders from the community. This diverse membership assists Arkansas ASCD in identifying areas of common interest to strengthen the collective work of all in meeting the needs of Arkansas students. As an organization, our primary goal is to assist all stakeholders in the utilization of sound and efficient processes to provide the students in Arkansas. It is our obligation and mission to provide a network to research the best educational practices that impact the whole child.

Arkansas ASCD is governed by an elected Board of Directors representing the best in Arkansas educational leadership. The Arkansas ASCD Board of Directors is committed to educating the “Whole Child”. In addition, the Arkansas ASCD Board of Directors is actively involved in influence activities at the state level.

Becoming a member of Arkansas ASCD will allow you to receive information about educational issues impacting Arkansas through newsletters as well as other modes of communication. You will be invited to attend conferences designed to bring state leaders in curriculum, instruction, and assessment together to discuss educational issues. Your membership will qualify you for a special member conference fee.
